Daniel, a Swiss environmental scientist with over 30 years of experience, has worked in climate change projects, emission factor studies for the Swiss Environmental Agency, air monitoring, and environmental impact assessments. He holds a master’s degree in environmental sciences from ETH Zurich, as well as diplomas in secondary education and laboratory assistance.

A former nine-year member of the Basel-Stadt Parliament, Daniel led its Financial Committee and chaired an Investigative Committee on the state-owned pension fund. He was co-owner and president of Carbotech AG and co-founded ecotawa AG in 2008, where he serves as CEO. Ecotawa AG, a sister company of Grütter Consulting, focuses on emission reduction projects in industry and energy. As a senior advisor, Daniel supports Grütter Consulting AG on transport-related environmental projects.
